Omega Communications and field Investigation Protocal

Post by Wi-Fi »

From the desk of Bravo leader to all Omegas and Omega Volunteers:

Radio terms to know and how to respond to them:
Combat Comms: Combat only communications
Any non-combat communications, discussions or issues are to be halted and the only combat-relevant information is to be relayed.

Mission Comms:
Any non-Mission communications, discussions or issues are to be halted and the only Mission-relevant information is to be relayed.

Open Comms: Open radio
Any Radio Silence, combat or Mission situations are no longer a priority. it also is a way to tell those on the radio they can continue talking.

Clear Comms: Close Radio
Any and all Radio Communications activity is to cease. This is because either the radio has been compromised or uncertain. it also is a way to tell those on the radio to shut up politely.

Field investigation and Crime scene Management
Photos:
Like all crime scenes take photos of the scene and those around it. In many cases, crooks observe their own work or vigilantes and reporters/Photographers like to snoop. these people are often witnesses. Omegas comm units and spider bots will often have photos from Screen capture on request.

Visual and Audio footage:
The spider bots and some individuals may carry sensors or wear armor with sensors to record both audio and video footage. Many also have enhanced senses to pick details others may miss. Remember and record details if you can. Even the smallest detail can make or break a case.

Spider Cam and drone Footage:
As previously stated spider bots make excellent scouts. I will provide a program to filter spider bot footage to a usable format. The system will be a wrist or belt-mounted unit available on request and standard issue to team leads and XO's. Tech specialists and hackers will also receive these to better use their computers mid-field. See me, your XO, or your team leader for the devices. Your team leader and your XO should be the first two you check with. If neither is available then go to the other team or me.

Evidence management:

Medical and Disaster Management
The first thing all need to be aware of is the Environmental risk. Look around and keep in mind first aid training! A few tips to help you out:
1) Fallen power lines and other chemical hazards are invisible or have no scent so do not charge in and rescue.

2) Record on your comm unit or take quick pics before entering a potentially dangerous area. The use of spider bots to scout can be useful as well.

3) Remember just because you have powers does not mean you are immune to airborne or contact virus, contagious infection (Active or potential) or Chemical exposure. You breathe you can be affected and if that infection can get you. Keep in mind even if unaffected yourself you may spread it out by breathing, contact, and possibly by presence.

4) Remember not all people are immune to your powers..picking up an injured person at high speeds can complicate injuries and kill them just as easily.

5) Be careful and act as you need to with reasonable risk. A rescuer who is incapacitated is of no use to anyone. This means sometimes not acting is your best choice. Be aware, Observe THEN act.
